A heuristic evaluation is a usability inspection method for computer software that helps to identify usability problems in the user interface design. It specifically involves evaluators examining the interface and judging its compliance with recognized usability principles.

I was asked to do a heuristic evaluation of the product Cryptokitties.

Learnability
I gave CryptoKitties a 2 for learnability for not taking out the time to example to the use what the mission of the creation of the app. The tutorial at the beginning of opening the app is about breeding cats no heads up about other vital information such as a menu that explains where to find other items because looking at the page layout it is possible to be confused
Due to the complex nature of Cryptokitties, it requires more technical know how to operate properly and quickly but lacks education forum in which one can learn this technical terms e.g., the use of Meta Mask and deposit of Ether
It made selling and buying ETH quite easy to understand with the colorful design of those cats and can be extremely useful to children if there was an educational forum about the technical parts of blockchain
Efficiency
The buying and selling/siring of Cryptokitties is a bit frustrating, in the sense that transactions are recorded in a unique way due to the reason of using Cryptokitties smart contract hence there is a possibility that there can be some funds delayed
Lack of an education forum makes it difficult for inexperienced users who do not know much about blockchain technology
Money is required to make the website worthwhile if you do not buy a kitty or kitties the website is quite useless to a nonprofessional
Memorability
I could remember most things such as how to sign up and login into my account. Breeding of cats are also a process i can never forget because of it simplicity
Error Management
*Technical*As more users use Ether (A building block for Ethereum) to make transactions it causes more traffic in ETH network hence causing a hike in gas fees and slow executions of ETH deals
The website layout seems random especially the search so many buttons making one question what he/she came to the website to do
Satisfaction
I as a user was not satisfied with my experience using Cryptokitties because I had to look up how to use Meta mask and the working behind which I still did not fully grasp. I cannot use the full potential of the website because it requires money to perform but i enjoyed the designs and arts they used in making the experience more enjoyable
